Word Vs. Excel

We made two calendars this past week, one on word and one on excel. I liked making one on Excel the best, because it already had blocks all we had to do was set them up how we wanted them. I also liked it better because it was easier to put cliparts on the page and watermark them. Although I did like Word because that's what I'm using 99% of the time. I liked them both and now I know how to make a calendar on both. I hope to use this at my job in the future. :)

Greatest Contributor

In my opinion, Admiral Grace Hopper was the biggest contributor to computers. I think this, because she found the bug in the computer. She came up with the phrase "debug"ing. People still use that phrase, and that's pretty cool that she made up phrase people still use today. She also developed the first computer programming language, which is pretty amazing. Another thing she did was develop the first computer compiler. She was an amazing woman and the technology world is very lucky to have known her.

A Job At Google

A job at Google would be pretty cool to someone who was into computers and technology, but I'm not that into it. I thought Google would be this huge building with lots of offices; it actually looked like a factory to me. I wouldn't want to work at Google because they sacrifice a lot and when they get off work, it's not really getting off work. However, I do think it's smart that they don't share how many workers they have or how many locations they have. I never heard of that guy Thomas Edison stole the idea from, but I'm glad they did so nobody would take their idea. I've learned a lot about Google that I never would have known or thought about. I learned that Google really isn't just a white page with a search box.

What I Plan To Learn

 I have learned that Google isn't the only search engine. I had no idea there were so many different search engines. I hope to learn many things in this class that will help me succeed in life. I hope that I remember these things as I advance in life's journey. I hope to increase my knowledge in technology while I'm in this class.
